A-one Concreting Services

Greetings Alan,
I’d like to say what a pleasure it was working with you in laying a rather large slab of concrete.
From the beginning, including your voicemail, I found you professional, polite and
accommodating. There are several qualities that stand out compared to dealing with other
trades people and competitors.
1. The amount of time you spent with me to make sure I had considered all the
“ramifications” of laying the concrete. Where others basically took measurements and
sent a quote, you challenged many of the ideas and assumptions I had made.
For example:
When I questioned other companies, competitors, about something the fall back position was
always the same – “Whatever you want me to do, that’s what I’ll do”.
In other words I wear the consequences removing any responsibility on their part.
You didn’t do that. Rather you guided me to a better conclusion
2. You always did what you said you would do.
This included being there on time every day and carrying out pretty well exactly what had
been planned for the day. This made it easy to plan my personal diary.
You didn’t hesitate to call off the pour when it threatened rain in spite of having 8 or 9 men on
the job. No doubt you have a very good relationship with your contractors to be able to do this
and for them to still show up a couple of days later when the weather was more suitable.
3. Follow up and completion
The persistence shown in ensuring the job was complete to not just my satisfaction but your
own. Even though the long spell of rain, (nearly 3 weeks on and off), didn’t dilute the
commitment to complete the job fully.
4. Communication
There hasn’t been a single occasion when I’ve called or emailed when you didn’t respond.
This makes it very re-assuring that you’re not trying to avoid anything and you always
explained (almost too much) what the plan of attack was going to be.
Frankly, you went beyond the expected and I am very thankful.
I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending you and your crew to anyone wanting
concrete laid.
